M.A., Counseling Psychology, California Institute of Integral Studies
Concentration in Somatic Psychology
Additional Trainings
I am skilled in an eclectic mix of approaches to psychotherapy, from traditional talk therapy to body-oriented methods. I work holistically and effectively. I incorporate psychodynamic, systems and socio-cultural approaches to psychotherapy.
The body plays a crucial role in the structure and process of the psyche. Somatic approaches to psychotherapy focus on and work with the bodily organization of feeling and meaning. We enact feeling, identity and contact with others through our bodies. I will help you explore the bodily means by which you conduct your daily life. This work is particularly effective with trauma, dissociation, identity issues and mood regulation. Somatic work broadens the palette and makes for a more easeful life. I use a blend of Eastern and Western approaches for the cultivation of a more integrated you.
